From Survivor to Inventor: RxAllergyScan.com Launches Patent-Pending Tool to Prevent Life-Threatening Medication Allergies
Inverness, FL – December 3, 2025 — Millions of people take medications every day without realizing they may contain hidden allergens such as milk protein, soy, gelatin, corn starch, dyes, or sulfites. These unseen ingredients can trigger serious, even life-threatening, reactions. Now, a new online safety tool — RxAllergyScan.com — empowers users to identify those hidden risks before they take a medication.
RxAllergyScan.com allows users to create a personal allergen profile and scan medications against that list in seconds. The system compares drug ingredient data from trusted FDA-published sources and immediately flags potential allergens, helping users make safer, more informed choices.
“After experiencing severe allergic reactions to medications, I realized there was no easy way for people to verify what’s really in their prescriptions,” said Diane Valent, founder of RxAllergyScan. “Doctors and pharmacists routinely check for drug interactions — but they do not check for food-based allergens hidden inside medications. RxAllergyScan gives people the ability to see, in advance, whether a drug contains ingredients that may be unsafe for them personally.”
According to national health statistics, allergic reactions to drug ingredients send hundreds of thousands of individuals to emergency departments every year. RxAllergyScan was created to reduce those events by combining technology, transparency, and user empowerment.
The website’s simple design makes it easy to get started: users create an account, select known allergens such as milk, corn, soy, peanuts, gelatin, or sulfites, and then type a medication name. Within seconds, RxAllergyScan analyzes ingredient data pulled from FDA databases like DailyMed and RxNorm, examining thousands of records to identify flagged ingredients or related compounds. Users can save their profiles, track scan history, and share results when needed.
“This isn’t just a convenience,” Valent adds. “It’s a life-saving tool for anyone with allergies who takes medication.”
New users receive five complimentary scans, with additional scans available as needed.
In addition to RxAllergyScan, Valent also created PillParser.com, a companion website designed for individuals who may not have allergies but still want to understand what’s inside their medications. PillParser lists and explains ingredients found in prescription and over-the-counter drugs using the same FDA-published data sources, offering clear ingredient transparency for everyday users.
Valent is also developing an educational version of the tool intended for teaching medication safety and ingredient awareness in academic settings. This project is currently in development and will be announced at a later date.
Patent Pending.
